🏒 NHL ✈️ Philadelphia Flyers vs 🦅 Washington Capitals I’m backing the Flyers tonight despite their rough recent stretch. This feels like a spot where they have to bounce back. They actually played a solid game against the Kings last time out and only lost in a shootout — the performance was better than the result. This pick is more about fading Washington. Their form has been extremely inconsistent — one night they dominate the Islanders, the next they can easily get blown out by a team like Philadelphia. On top of that, the Capitals really struggle in back-to-back situations. For a 40-year-old Ovechkin, playing two games in 24 hours with travel is a serious challenge. Another key factor: Washington is dealing with injuries to both of their main goalies. The third-string goalie Stevenson played last game, and while Thompson is likely to return tonight, it’s still his first game back after injury — rarely a good sign for peak performance.
